Dr. Parnagian graduated from Farleigh Dickinson Dental School in 1985, completing a general practice residency at Stony Brook University Hospital the next year. He has been a part of the Your Smile Dental of Lindenhurst, PLLC family for more than 30 years, bringing experience and caring to his work. David is also an avid golfer and a big Jets and Mets fan.
Dr. Mamoor is a general dentist with extensive training in comprehensive treatment planning, endodontics, fixed and removable prosthodontics, and implant restorations. A graduate of New York University College of Dentistry in 2016, she earned membership in three prestigious honor societies: The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Golden Key International Honor Society, and Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-medical Honor Society. Fariah has served as a volunteer for the Domestic Harmony Foundation since 2008 and continues her work with the group today, providing services to Muslim women who have been victims of domestic violence. She is fluent in English and Farsi/Dari. Dr. Mamoor lives in West Islip, NY.
Dr. Plaut is a periodontist who specializes in periodontics and implantology. In 2017, he graduated from SUNY Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine where he served as a resident in the Advanced Specialty Education Program In Periodontology. Michael is also a recipient of the Northeast Society of Periodontists Award. His community service includes international volunteering, such as with Give Kids a Smile Day in Jamaica. He also served as a weekend counselor for mentally and physically handicapped adults through the Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services, a math tutor for underprivileged minority children in New York City, and a caretaker of mentally and physically handicapped adults and children through the Hebrew Academy for Special Children Summer Program. Dr. Plaut lives in Flushing, NY.
Before joining the Your Smile Dental of Lindenhurst, PLLC, Dr. Eric Frank earned his dental degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. He also earned a master’s degree in orthodontics from the university. Dr. Frank has served as a dental volunteer across the globe, including in Israel and Jamaica. His research has been published in numerous journals.
When not seeing patients, Eric enjoys writing poetry, running, scuba diving, skiing, golf, and being an active triathlete. He lives in Springfield, NJ.
Dr. Sfiroudis is a periodontist who earned her degree from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, where she also went on to complete an advanced education program in that dental specialty. Her background includes dedicated volunteer work with underserved communities in Virginia and Tennessee, and Stephanie also spent time volunteering as a network mentor and contact point for aspiring dental students, guiding them and sharing professional insight into the field.
Dr. Sfiroudis has conducted research on gingival stem cells, salivary gland biology, and oral cancer among other focus areas. She is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Suffolk County Dental Society, and the Northeastern Society of Periodontics, which awarded her with a certificate of achievement for earning the highest GPA in her periodontal pre-doctoral classes. Stephanie is also a recipient of the Blasco C. Gomes Award for excellence in periodontics. She resides in Flushing, NY.
Dr. Jonathan M. Cohen was born and raised in Great Neck, NY. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry and graduated with multiple honors. He then completed a General Practice Residency at North Shore LIJ, where he was able to gain more clinical exposure to all aspects of restorative dentistry, Dental Implantology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. After completing his general practice training, he went on to complete five years of residency in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and University Hospital, a Level One Trauma Center in Newark, NJ. During his last year of residency, he served as the Chief Resident. During that time he would perform the most complex procedures while having the opportunity to educate students and residents in both clinical and academic Oral Surgery. While training at Rutgers, Dr. Cohen twice received the patient advocacy award, recognized by the hospital for his gentle nature and excellence in patient care. Dr. Cohen has active certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Before joining the Your Smile Dental, Dr. Kyle Armstrong earned his dental degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore School of Dentistry. Dr. Armstrong has extensive training in various dental specialties, is experienced in working with medically complex patients, and in working with specialists to formulate advanced multidisciplinary treatment plans. While in school, he was the student ambassador for the University of Maryland School of Dentistry where he interviewed and evaluated prospective candidates for the dental program. He was also a member of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry Implant Interest Group and the Gamma Phi Prosthodontic Honors Society. Dr. Armstrong enjoys community service, sports, and serving as a mentor. He lives in Freeport, NY.
Dr. Alexander Mermelstein is a general dentist with training in multiple aspects of dentistry including restorative, fixed prosthodontics, removable prosthodontics, endodontics, implant restorations, and extractions. A graduate of the New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Mermelstein was active on campus in causes that mattered to him such as providing oral hygiene instruction and screenings for individuals with special needs and treating individuals seeking asylum due to torture in their home countries. He was also the Secretary and Community Outreach Coordinator for the Endodontics Society and a member of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. He is fluent in English and Hebrew. Dr. Mermelstein is passionate about community outreach and medical ethics. He lives in Flushing, NY.
