Dr. Plaut is a periodontist who specializes in periodontics and implantology. In 2017, he graduated from SUNY Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine where he served as a resident in the Advanced Specialty Education Program In Periodontology. Michael is also a recipient of the Northeast Society of Periodontists Award. His community service includes international volunteering, such as with Give Kids a Smile Day in Jamaica. He also served as a weekend counselor for mentally and physically handicapped adults through the Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services, a math tutor for underprivileged minority children in New York City, and a caretaker of mentally and physically handicapped adults and children through the Hebrew Academy for Special Children Summer Program. Dr. Plaut lives in Flushing, NY.
Dr. Ryan Turner brings a wealth of expertise in periodontics and implant surgery to Your Smile Dental of Freeport, PLLC. A graduate of the prestigious Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and member of their OKU National Dental Honor Society, Dr. Turner also served as an assistant clinical instructor and was Chief Resident in periodontics and implant surgery at the university.
As a board certified periodontist and implant surgeon, he specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal diseases, as well as in the placement of dental implants, bone grafting, and oral reconstruction.
Dr. Turner is a member of several respected organizations, including being a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He is certified in Pinhole® Surgical Technique (PST) for gum rejuvenation and performs laser surgery. His research in the field of periodontics was awarded the famous Birnberg Research Award and has been published in a number of world-renown dental journals. He has lectured at various meetings and seminars in the field.
Dr. Victor Katsman graduated from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City. His goal is to offer dental care and services that everyone in the community feels confident in. He strives to ensure that every patient receives the care they need and deserve.
Dr. Katsman lives in Westchester, NY with his wife Lauren and their three girls, Amelia, Ellie, and Emma.
Dr. Sfiroudis is a periodontist who earned her degree from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, where she also went on to complete an advanced education program in that dental specialty. Her background includes dedicated volunteer work with underserved communities in Virginia and Tennessee, and Stephanie also spent time volunteering as a network mentor and contact point for aspiring dental students, guiding them and sharing professional insight into the field.
Dr. Sfiroudis has conducted research on gingival stem cells, salivary gland biology, and oral cancer among other focus areas. She is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Suffolk County Dental Society, and the Northeastern Society of Periodontics, which awarded her with a certificate of achievement for earning the highest GPA in her periodontal pre-doctoral classes. Stephanie is also a recipient of the Blasco C. Gomes Award for excellence in periodontics. She resides in Flushing, NY.
