Dr. ERIC FRANK DDS, MA, MS

Orthodontist

Before joining the Your Smile Dental of Freeport, PLLC, Dr. Eric Frank earned his dental degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. He also earned a master’s degree in orthodontics from the university. Dr. Frank has served as a dental volunteer across the globe, including in Israel and Jamaica. His research has been published in numerous journals.

When not seeing patients, Eric enjoys writing poetry, running, scuba diving, skiing, golf, and being an active triathlete. He lives in Springfield, NJ.

Dr. Ryan Turner, DDS, MS

Periodontist

Dr. Ryan Turner joined Your Smile Dental of Hauppauge, PLLC in 2019 and brings a wealth of expertise in Periodontics and Implant Surgery to the practice. Dr. Turner graduated from the prestigious Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2010, where he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society the same year. Dr. Turner was an Assistant Clinical Instructor and the Chief Resident in Periodontics and Implant Surgery at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. As a board certified periodontist and implant surgeon, he specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal diseases, as well as in the placement of dental implants, bone grafting, and oral reconstruction.

Dr. Turner is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and American Dental Association, among other respected organizations. Dr. Turner is certified in Pinhole® Surgical Technique (PST) for gum rejuvenation and performs LASER surgery. His research in the field of Periodontics was awarded the famous Birnberg Research Award and has been published in a number of world-renown dental journals. He has lectured at various meetings and seminars in the field.

Dr. Jonathan M. Cohen

Oral Surgeon

Dr. Jonathan M. Cohen was born and raised in Great Neck, NY. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry and graduated with multiple honors. He then completed a General Practice Residency at North Shore LIJ, where he was able to gain more clinical exposure to all aspects of restorative dentistry, Dental Implantology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. After completing his general practice training, he went on to complete five years of residency in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and University Hospital, a Level One Trauma Center in Newark, NJ. During his last year of residency, he served as the Chief Resident. During that time he would perform the most complex procedures while having the opportunity to educate students and residents in both clinical and academic Oral Surgery. While training at Rutgers, Dr. Cohen twice received the patient advocacy award, recognized by the hospital for his gentle nature and excellence in patient care. Dr. Cohen has active certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Dr. Samantha You

General Dentist

Dr. Samantha You is a committed, patient-focused dentist with comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, techniques, and tools. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and especially enjoys empowering her patients by creating awareness and actively providing them with dental education. Before joining the Your Smile Dental team, Dr. You graduated from Touro College of Dental Medicine. She has a particular interest and skill set in emergency dental care, operative dentistry, endodontics, fixed and removable prosthetics, and extractions. She is fluent in Korean and English. Dr. You lives in Central Islip, NY.
